RATING: BAD
Why is this BAD for me?
Parabens are used as preservatives in hair care products to extend their shelf life, to prevent the growth of bacteria in your shampoos. Parabens (such as butyl, propyl, and ethyl parabens) are believed to mimic the behaviour of oestrogen (a female hormone responsible for reproductive functions) and have been linked to an increased risk of breast cancer.
