RATING: BAD
Why is this BAD for me?
Dimethicone is a silicone that is commonly used in hair care products. They form a coating layer over your hair shaft, which can prevent moisture from penetrating your hair, leaving it extremely dry. Sometimes, this means your scalp overcompensates by producing excess sebum (the skin’s natural oil) in an attempt to hydrate your hair. This, however, accumulates grease on your scalp over time, which can cause clogged pores and scalp irritation.
