How To Get The Jack Grealish Haircut & Hairstyle?

Jack Grealish is an English professional football player who you will usually see playing either attack midfielder or winger for the Premier League club Manchester City, as well as the national England team.  This feisty baller started young as he signed onto Aston Villa at the age of 6-years-old (yes, you read that right) before making his official debut for the club in May of 2014. Grealish is officially the most expensive English player ever after he signed for Manchester City in 2021 in a transfer deal worth £100 million! Now that’s a lot of dosh. He now plays in the number 10 shirt which had previously been worn by club legend Sergio Aguero.

It's unsurprising that Grealish has caught the attention of the world as he is an extremely gifted player who seems to just “ghost past people” with quick footwork, exceptional speed, and excellent ball balance. It is reminiscent of other remarkable English players such as Harry Kane or even David Beckham. And just like these two footballing deities Jack Grealish has an impeccable sense of style, especially when it comes to his hair. This of course has made the young Englishman a huge hit with the ladies. It can’t be helped when he manages to look like the love child of a young Leo DiCaprio and Hugh Grant.

So, we at NO GUNK have put together a style guide on how you can create the Jack Grealish haircut. Continue on to find out more…

    Hairstyle 1: Slicked undercut

This is a hairstyle that many men can pull off as long as you’re willing to grow out the top of your hair for about a month and a half. It’s worth it though because this haircut looks fiiine whether you’re wearing a suit, chilling in your chino’s, or you’re all kitted out for a bit of 5-aside with the lads on a warm Sunday afternoon. It’s a good-looking haircut that offers its wearer plenty of pzazz and seems to be incredibly popular with the ladies as well. Sounds like a win-win situation to me, fellas.

    How To Cut:

Book an appointment with your barber and ask for an undercut with a slicked back top. First your barber needs to section off the top hair so they have access to your back and sides then they can get to work with the clippers. For the back and sides aim for a #1 all over. However, if you want to make the haircut unique to you, ask for a bit of a skin fade too. You can work out the details with your barber at your appointment. Now for the top, point cut into the hair at around 6 inches at the front and then taper it off towards the crown of the head till it’s about 4 ½ - 5 inches. This should be just long enough for you to style your hair.

    How To Style:

    • For the best result make sure you style on wet hair. Once you hop out of the shower, towel dry your hair until it is damp but not dripping. This will help your products apply easier.
    • To pre-style the hair grab some of your Funky Flex Cream and scoop up a pea sized amount of product. Warm it up between your fingertips and then apply product throughout your hair. Start at the back and work your way forwards making sure to apply the product from root to tip. This way the hairs are evenly coated. Hair cream is great for creating that nice shine that Jack Grealish is always sporting.
    • Next, grab a comb and run it through your hair starting at the front and pushing it back. This way you are starting to create that defined slicked back look.
    • Finally use some Matte Lava Clay to lie down any stubborn hairs that have attempted to fly away during the styling process. Apply it in the same way as the previous product, using your fingertips to lay the hairs down flat. This will help your hairstyle last all day long and even through an intense 90-minute football match.
    • Let’s not forget the finishing touches. Grab your hairdryer and set it to the coolest setting. Now, blast your hair with the cold air to help keep everything in place. You can even run the comb through a few more times.

    Congratulations! Your hairstyle is complete.

The best part about this hairstyle is that if you find it falling on your face you can always follow in Jak’s footsteps and just slap on a headband to keep those curtains out of your face. This is a perfect fix for if you’re a regular gym goer or if you like to have a kick around with your mates on the weekend. This accessory is something many footballers have used in the course of their career after it was made a popular (and practical) item back in the 90s thanks to Beckham. Slick back isn’t the only way you can style this infamous haircut though. In fact, one of Jack Grealish fan favourite hairstyles is when the footballer lets everything all hang out and shows off his lovely 90s curtain bangs. This seems to be a popular style with footballers as everyone from Beckham to Buffon has  tried out this style. And the best part? It doesn’t even require a different haircut, just a different styling technique!

    How To Style:

    •  Same as before, start with towel dried hair. The aim is to be damp but not dripping.
    • Scoop up a small amount of hair cream to help keep your hair floppy and relaxed. The Funky Flex Cream will be perfect for this as it will give your hair a firm hold but you will still be able to re-shape it throughout the day due to its light consistency. Warm the hair cream up between your fingers and apply throughout the hair as previously stated above. This product is perfect for taming your stray ends and will give your hair that natural shine.
    • Finally, use a comb to create a middle parting and separate your hairs. Grab your hairdryer and set it to a medium heat (this is so it won’t cause any damage) and blow dry your hair down while you comb. Complete the process until hair is dry.

All done! You’re looking great and I’m sure the ladies will love your fresh new look. Go get them funky fella!
