Kacavas hasn’t had a chance to appear in many productions as he has just kicked off his career with his debut in HBO’s coming-of-age television drama Euphoria: Season 2 (2019-present). He played young Cal Jacobs in the third episode. This role has given Kacavas the opportunity to associate himself with some incredibly talented individuals such as Zendaya, Angus Cloud and Jacob Elordi which will be highly beneficial to the growth of his career. It has already been rumoured that Kacavas will be in another successful HBO’s series. All you PPL fans out there must be ecstatic to hear Elias Kacavas featuring in the fourth season of the Pretty Little Liars (2010-present) franchise called Original Sin coming out this 2022. Prepare yourself to see Kacavas playing Karen’s (Malloy Bechtel) supposedly “perfect” boyfriend, Greg. Sounds suspicious, if you ask us…
And, judging by what we have seen so far in Euphoria, we are sure that we can guess that Elias will bring two things to this next performance. His incredible screen presence and an equally impressive haircut. So, we have put together a style guide for you to try out featuring Elias Kacavas’ young Cal haircut from Euphoria and a throwback to his short blonde back and sides!
The 90s will always be a time that people loved. It had great energy, great pop culture, great fashion and, more importantly, great hair. It is hardly surprising that the Euphoria fans were all in a flurry over the latest arrivals in season 2. Elias Kacavas stole the episode as Young Cal in his letterman jacket and sporting the 90s floppy haircut, made infamous by the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt. This iconic haircut makes a statement when you walk in a room and the only prep it requires is growing out your hair to achieve that length needed for this look.
How To Cut:
Ask your barber to keep things long on top and sides then short at the back – you can also refer to this haircut as the floppy (show picture above for reference). For the top you will want to point-cut into the hair at around six inches. The sides need to be shorter than the top and longer than the book. You’re looking for enough hair to easily tuck behind your ears. This will vary depending on your head and face shape. From the nape to the crown, you’re going to want to overcome the hair somewhere between two to three inches in length. Finally going over the haircut and blend all the sections together.
How To Style:
This is the haircut Elias Kacavas had in his time before joining the cast of Euphoria. This simple short back and sides is great if you like to keep things fuss free when it comes to your styling routine.
How To Cut:
Ask your barber for a short back and sides. We suggest starting with a #2 at the nape and tapering up into a #3 at the crown of the head and into the sides. Point-cut into the top hair at around three to four inches depending on how thin your hair is. Then taper the hair off about half an inch towards the crown of the head.
